Kyowa Kirin (China) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is an important part of Kyowa Kirin group’s globalization strategy. Headquartered in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong, the company is the first biopharmaceutical project introduced after the establishment of the “National Biopharmaceutical Industrial Base in Shanghai”, integrating drug development, production, and sales.   Since its entry into the Chinese market in 1993, Kyowa Kirin has commercialized nearly ten high-quality and innovative medicines in China. Covering major therapeutic areas, including nephrology, oncology, rare diseases, and dermatology, these products have benefited many Chinese patients. Among them, Filgrastim for the treatment of neutropenia, and Cinacalcet Hydrochloride Tablets for the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism, are two of the typical products of our innovative portfolio. Using cutting-edge technologies, including antibody technology research and antibody engineering, we successfully launched two innovative biological products in the Chinese market in 2021. They include the long-acting EPO-α dappotin α for the treatment of renal anemia in hemodialysis patients, and burosumab, a targeted treatment for patients living with X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH) and tumor-induced osteomalacia (TIO).

Today, in the new era of the “Healthy China 2030” grand blueprint, Kyowa Kirin will continue to fulfill its long-term commitment to China and contribute to the realization of the long-term goal of healthy China.
